What personal information do I collect from the people that visit my website?
When leaving a comment on our site, I ask for your name and email address, as well as a comment. I do this so I can personalize my response to you, ensure you are a real person (and therefore reduce spam comments), and also enable me to notify you of a response should you opt in to a response. I store your e-mail and name so I can do this, as well as an IP address and browser information. All the content you leave in your comment, along with the name you provide, will be publicly displayed in the comments section of the blog post where you leave your comment. Other information, including your e-mail address, IP address and browser information are kept private.
How do I store your data?
When you leave a comment on my site, I store your data on my secure server in compliance with local regulations. If you have left a comment or comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes. Transfer of data outside the USA

Google’s advertising requirements can be summed up by Google’s Advertising Principles. They are put in place to provide a positive experience for users. I use Google AdSense Advertising on my website, through my advertising partner, Mediavine.
Google, as a third party vendor, uses cookies to serve ads on my site. Google’s use of the DART cookie enables it to serve ads to my users based on their visit to my site and other sites on the Internet. Mediavine programmatic advertising
The Website uses Mediavine to manage all third-party advertising on the Website. Mediavine serves content and advertisements when you visit the Website, which may use first and third-party cookies. How does my site handle do not track signals?
I do my best to honor do not track signals and do not track, plant cookies, or use advertising when a Do Not Track (DNT) browser mechanism is in place. I have no control over third party advertising cookies on my site.
Does my site allow third party behavioral tracking?
Yes. I allow third party behavioral tracking. For countries covered by laws such as GDPR, any tracking is explicit and opt-in.
COPPA (Children Online Privacy Protection Act)
When it comes to the collection of personal information from children under 13, the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) puts parents in control. The Federal Trade Commission, the nation’s consumer protection agency, enforces the COPPA Rule, which spells out what operators of websites and online services must do to protect children’s privacy and safety online.
I do not specifically market to children under 13.
Fair Information Practices
The Fair Information Practices Principles form the backbone of privacy law in the United States and the concepts they include have played a significant role in the development of data protection laws around the globe.
